What's with New Pornographers getting into bed with iTunes? Earlier this month, as we reported, it was lead Pornographer A.C. Newman who got his chance with an iTunes exclusive. Now it's fellow Pornographer and Canadian alt-country chanteuse Neko Case getting a turn in the iTunes store spotlight with the iTunes Original Series.
For Case's entry, she includes six newly recorded live tracks spanning her half-dozen albums, a cover of Harry Nilsson's "Don't Forget Me" and studio tracks picked from her recorded output. The iTunes exclusive also features some spoken word explanations of her songs, including the stories behind "Deep Red Bells" and "Furnace Room Lullaby." Her latest album, 2009's Middle Cyclone, is represented with three tracks.
