Published Apr 28, 2010At the ripe age of 64, rock legend Neil Young is at the point in his career where, even if he still keeps releasing hit-or-miss new albums, we'll remember him for his long-gone best work. After recent honours at the Olympics and the Grammys, the accolades keep pouring in for Young, with the announcement of a new coffee table book.
According to a press release, the book is called Neil Young - Long May You Run: The Illustrated History, and it is just that: a vivid, pictorial look at Young's long and storied career. Compiled by Rolling Stone's Daniel Durchholz and the New York Times' Gary Graff, the 224-page reader prides itself on "perfectly mixing expertly researched text and many never-before-seen photos."
The press release continues, calling Long May You Run "without a doubt the most comprehensive book about Neil Young to be released to date." The book covers Young's career, from his start with Buffalo Springfield through his time with Crosby, Stills and Nash and, obviously, his career-defining solo work.
Neil Young - Long May You Run: The Illustrated History will be released on May 15 via Voyageur Press. The release will coincide with the kick-off of Young's summer 2010 tour with Bert Jansch.
