Neil Young's Greendale to Become a Graphic Novel

Neil Young's Greendale to Become a Graphic Novel
Neil Young is scheduled to collaborate with comics publishers Vertigo to release a graphic novel of his 2003 album and film Greendale.

Young will work with writer Joshua Dysart and artist Sean Murphy for the project that Noel Gallagher once described to Exclaim! as "absolute dog shit and fookin’ dreadful." According to Karen Berge, a Vertigo executive, the idea came from Bernard Shakey himself. "I met Neil about a year ago. He approached us. He loves comics and he'd been following all the attention for graphic novels that's going on," she said. "Much like the rest of his creative work. It's his baby, and he'll have a big hand in producing the book and promoting it later on."

No release date has been set, but you can only imagine Gallagher could wait forever.
