Despite having much more serious issues to deal with these days, National Rifle Association spokesperson Dana Loesch has repeatedly taken aim at Neil Young and what she has referred to as "a dying cow fart" of a voice. Now, Young has, um, fired back.

While being interviewed at SXSW by The Daily Beast for his new Paradox film, Young was asked about Loesch's repeated anti-Neil statements, saying "Why doesn't she just shoot me?"

"The spokesperson? That woman? She doesn't like me?" he said. "Well, she's one of the gang over there. Although Trump likes my music. He'd come to all my shows."

He then followed it with this: "What's her name, huh? Well, I'm glad I got under her skin."

And when specifically asking about that whole "dying cow fart" comment by Loesch, Young was then prompted to say, "Why doesn't she just shoot me?"

He did give a disclaimer, though, adding, "You know, I hate to say that because I have kids and I really don't want anybody to shoot me. I've still got to bring up my kids, so don't take that seriously!"

Paradox is premiering at SXSW today, then hits Netflix on March 23. The digital release of the soundtrack by Neil Young + Promise of the Real also arrives on March 23 via Reprise. The CD version is slated to arrive later on April 20, while the vinyl will be out April 13.
