Neil Young Rectifies "Massive Fuck Up" by Getting Barclays Bank Dropped from London Show

After making headlines for denouncing "fossil fuel finding" Barclays Bank, Neil Young has announced the British bank will not sponsor his upcoming concert with Bob Dylan at London's Hyde Park.

"NYA is happy to announce that the Hyde park show will proceed without Barclays as a sponsor," a post on Young's website reads. "We are overjoyed, so happy to be playing the show! NYA tickets to all tiers will be available today. We will have the announcement and ticket sales up very soon."

What's more, the concert even now comes with the new title of "Sponsored By Nobody."

Earlier this week, Young wrote a scathing post after the London concert with Dylan was announced, citing both citing premature ticket sales and his disapproval of Barclays, which he accused of being a "fossil fuel finding" institution.

"That doesn't work for me. I believe in Science," Young wrote. "I worry about the Climate Crisis and am deeply concerned about its massive global ramifications and my beautiful grandchildren's future… There's no doubt about it — it's been a massive fuck up!"

Neil Young and Bob Dylan's London concert at Hyde Park will take place on July 12, 2019 — now without Barclays.
