Neil Young's new — and sold-out — box set Archives Vol. II: 1972-1976 recently came into our lives, giving fans a bunch of previously unreleased material. Among that was the Harvest-era song "Goodbye Christians on the Shore," which he's now dusted off for a new video.
The song was recorded on December 15, 1972, just before the legendary Time Fades Away tour. The track features Young playing with the Stray Gators, made up of piano player Jack Nitzsche, drummer Kenny Buttery, bassist Tim Drummond and guitarist Ben Keit).
The clip keeps thing pretty simple and very nostalgic, as it focuses in on some beautifully lit cottage scenes and an old reel-to-reel. You can watch the video for "Goodbye Christians on the Shore" below, or if you'd rather hear the hi-res audio version, you can do that on the Neil Young Archives site, which is now free during the holidays.
