Published Jun 04, 2012Neil Young fans are no doubt excited for tomorrow (June 5), as it's when the rock icon and Crazy Horse release their new Americana LP. Just hours from the album's release, however, the group have announced some more big news: a full-fledged North American tour.
A press release confirms that Young and Crazy Horse will celebrate Americana by going on out tour for the first time since 2004. The fall trek, split up into two chunks between October and December, will find them hitting up a number of Canadian cities. The whole thing kicks off October 3 an Windsor, ON's WFCU Centre, and will find the act heading out west as far as Vancouver before bouncing back to Ontario and Quebec.
Joining Young and Crazy Horse for the first part of the trip is long-running California rock troupe Los Lobos, while punk poet Patti Smith will open on the latter portion of the trip, so you might want to consider getting to the shows kind of early. As previously reported, Smith's new LP Banga also hit shelves tomorrow.
