Published Sep 25, 2014Iconic Canadian folk musician Neil Young has unveiled three versions of his latest protest song "Who's Gonna Stand Up?"
He performed the song live earlier this summer, but it has now been confirmed that it will appear on his forthcoming orchestral album Storytone. While the album isn't out until November, Young has shared an acoustic solo version of the track, as well as the orchestral mix featuring a 92-member orchestra and choir, plus a special live version featuring his band Crazy Horse.
A press release describes the new song as a "plea to end our dependence of fossil fuels and realize our responsibility to protect our earth's fragile eco systems to ensure the quality of life for future generation." Listen to the three new versions of "Who's Gonna Stand Up?" below.
