After teasing a 2024 return to the road toward the end of last year, Neil Young has unveiled new North American tour dates with Crazy Horse ahead of delivering another new LP.
This April and May, Young and his longtime outfit will play 16 shows on what they've dubbed the Love Earth Tour.
Beginning in San Diego with a pair of performances on April 24 and 25, the tour will take Young and co. to stadiums and amphitheatres around the US. A lone Canadian date on the trek comes at Toronto's Budweiser Stage on May 20.
In a post announcing the tour via his Neil Young Archives website, the Canadian icon makes mention of a new album with Crazy Horse titled FU##IN' UP — not to be confused with "F*!#in' Up," the live set staple from 1990's Ragged Glory.
While details on FU##IN' UP are scant at this time, a press release points to Neil and the Horse re-recording nine songs "from their long relationship," set to be pressed as a limited edition, coloured vinyl LP for Record Store Day 2024.
Earlier this month, Young shared a live recording of "Cinnamon Girl" captured during a private performance at Toronto's Rivoli last November. You can hear that down below.
"In the spirit it’s offered...made this for the Horse lovers," Young shared in a statement. "I can’t stop it. The horse is runnin’. What a ride we have. I don’t want to mess with the vibe. I am so happy to have this to share.”
A Neil Young Archives pre-sale for Love Earth Tour tickets is currently open, ahead of a general public on-sale beginning Friday (February 16) at 10 AM ET. You can also opt in to receive FU##IN’ UP on CD with tickets at no extra cost.
Later this month, Young will deliver new archival collection Dume, which includes work with Crazy Horse from the Zuma album sessions.
