Gearing up for the release of their new album Lifeless Birth, Oakland death metal titans Necrot have announced a North American headlining tour with support from BAT, Phobophilic, Street Tombs and Carbonized. The trek includes a handful of Canadian shows in Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver this summer.
"You already know it. The Lifeless Birth album release tour is going to be a savagely brutal one!" bassist/vocalist Luca Indrio said in a press release. "I'm sure our loyal fans are going to be there to rage and destroy every fucking night. These shows are going to be pure madness; you are not going to regret being there, but you might regret not showing up. If you feel like you need a night of good metal you better be there early. The support bands are insanely good. BAT has a new album out for the tour just like us, Street Tombs is representing for [drummer] Chad [Gailey]'s label, Carbonized plus Phobophilic is joining us late in the tour, all such sick bands. Epic as fuck. See you all at the shows!"
The epic-as-fuck concerts kick off on June 5 in Berkeley, CA, with the Canadian stops not taking place until the latter half. At the end of the month, Necrot cross the border to play two Quebec shows in Quebec City (June 28) and Montreal (June 29), followed by a pair of Ontarian dates in Ottawa (June 30) and Toronto (July 1).
After weaving their way through the US for another half-dozen or so performances, the band return to Canada for one final show on the West Coast, playing the Cobalt in Vancouver on July 11 before wrapping up the tour on July 13 in Portland, OR.
