Nas's DUI Case Dismissed As Arrest Footage Surfaces Online

Reports have been unveiled that drug charges against Nas have been dropped. The charges stem back to an incident in September when the rapper was pulled over near his home in Georgia and arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the rapper (born Nasir Jones) "had a green tongue with raised taste buds and his pulse was raised to 116 beats per minute," and his car reeked of "raw marijuana." When he failed the standard walking test, Nas admitted that he had been smoking weed at his friend's house. (TMZ has posted some footage of the arrest here.)

Now, TMZ is reporting that the case has been dismissed because Nas's drug test "came back negative for drugs, including marijuana." Did they think he was lying when he told them he'd been smoking weed?

Distant Relatives, Nas's previously announced collaboration with Damian Marley, has been pushed back to sometime in 2010.
