Nas Speaks Out Against "Janky Promoters," Jeff Buckley to Get a Biopic and More in This Week's News Round-Up
With today being Saturday, that can only mean one thing in Exclaim! news land: another work week's worth of music happenings have gone down and we newsies are now ready to round them up. Leading the pack of stories this week, we have Nas speaking up about his recent Newfoundland no-show, which he has blamed on what he calls "janky promoters," as well as reports on the "Queen of the Blues," Koko Taylor, passing away at 80, Calgary's Sled Island getting a final line-up and Wavves' Nathan Williams citing Xanax, Ecstasy and an ongoing drinking problem in his recent Primavera meltdown.

Also, if you're up for some more gossipy fare, this week there is Trent Reznor laying into old mate Marilyn Manson, who the Nine Inch Nails man now considers a "dopey clown" and "malicious guy," and the long-in-the-works Jeff Buckley biopic getting back on track. Oh, and not to totally spoil anything about that Buckley story, but apparently among the actors listed to maybe play the late singer-songwriter are Jared Leto and, um, James Franco. Seriously.
