Canadian music journalist Nardwuar the Human Serviette is steadily rolling out his interviews from SXSW, and the latest comes with Beats 1 DJ and radio personality Zane Lowe.
Nardwuar chats with Lowe about the first Deep Purple song he ever heard, his hip-hop group Urban Disturbance and which hip-hop legends they opened for, his work as a producer, and his subsequent rise through the ranks of music media.
Gifts for Lowe include a copy of Ed Piskor's Hip Hop Family Tree, a cassette from New Zealand hip-hop crew Upper Hutt Posse, a Flying Nun compilation that features some of his early work, a few records from the Courtneys and one of Lowe's favourite rap records of all time.
