Nardwuar the Human Serviette

vs. White Lung

No doubt, Vancouver-bred punk favourites White Lung's early December hometown gig had many locals pumped up, but apparently it threw journalist Nardwuar the Human Serviette into ecstasy. His interview with the group is a smorgasbord of local lore, vinyl gifts and deep investigation into vocalist Mish Way's status as the "Scat Queen."

The 12-minute Q&A is crammed with Vancouver history, and discusses Way's first punk gig at long-shuttered local venue Mesa Luna, drummer Anne-Marie Vassiliou's time spent drumming in the Riff Randells, guitarist Kenny William's beginnings as a pre-pubescent trumpeter and more. Gifts given to the group include an old photo of Way, Bison drummer Brad McKinnon and Cameron Reed "doing a tongue dance," a book of G.G. Allin's prison letters, Christian Death and Girlschool records, and more.

A fragrant turn in the conversation had Way arguing with Nardwuar over whether or not she once shit in a cup, but the singer eventually concedes that she once scooped poop into one and hurled it at a club. Less messy topics are also covered, and you can find out more in the video down below.

Way also recently spoke with Exclaim! about a budding acting career. You can read the exclusive interview over here.
