Napalm Death/Wildhearts Offshoot Mutation Get Mark E. Smith and Merzbow for Debut LP 'Error 500'
Mutation,  the genre-dabbling grind supergroup featuring Napalm Death bassist Shame Embury and Wildhearts vocalist Ginger Wildheart, will issue their Error 500 October 29 via Ipecac.

Though details behind the LP have yet to arrive in full, a press release notes that the collective's upcoming full-length is rooted in "sheer grindcore brutality" while allowing itself to delve into the "darker recesses of sonic experimentation." The press sheet further hints that blast beats co-mingle with industrial textures, "break neck twists and hyper-rhythmic turns."

The eight-piece ensemble also features the likes of Cardiacs' Jon Poole, Sisters of Mercy's Chris Catalyst and Amen/Black Halos guitarist Rich Jones, with high-profile guests appearing somewhere on the recording including the Fall's Mark E. Smith and Japanese noise great Merzbow. A tracklisting has not yet been offered up.
