Nada Surf Prep Super Duper Box Set

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Oct 30, 2008

After 12 years of proving they are way more than one-hit wonders, New York power poppers Nada Surf are getting some hard-earned box-set treatment. On November 25, Barsuk will release a limited edition vinyl box set containing all the band’s studio albums, and of course a whole swak of other Nada Surf goodies.

Along with each of the band’s albums — High/Low (1996), The Proximity Effect (1998), Let Go (2002), The Weight Is a Gift (2005) and Lucky (2008) — the box set will come packaged with a repressing of Nada Surf’s long-deleted first 7-inch "Plan”/”Telescope,” a 24-page full-colour booklet of lyrics and photos, and a download code that leads to MP3 versions of their last four albums. On top of this, the set also includes an additional download folder containing 16 rare and out-of-print B-sides and outtakes.

Barsuk is currently taking pre-orders for the set, but since it’s limited to 1,000 copies, with each being hand-numbered, you may want to get on that soon.
