Mykki Blanco Plots New LP as Gay Dog Food, Shares "New Feelings"

After issuing solo mixtapes, the Betty Rubble: The Initiation EP and a trove of online singles as Mykki Blanco, the New York rapper will deliver a new release as Gay Dog Food.

The new moniker comes attached to an as-yet-unspecified project called Gay Dog Food: Fem Slick, which will be issued sometime in October via UNO Recordings. The project has been teased by the MC on Twitter recently, with the artist explaining that "my nu shit is very live, noise pedals and shit." He also noted that "there are some features, on my new shit that are gonna make the internet shit themselves."

Today (September 4), Gay Dog Food premiered the conceptual swerve of "New Feelings," a track described as a "prologue" to the project. Slathered in spoken word rants, P-Funk-indebted synths and assorted outer-space sounds, the tune was tracked in Vladivostok Russia with producer Sasha DZA. You'll find a stream of the single down below.

Other artists attached to Gay Dog Food include Harlem producer Gobby, while a previously Twitter-teased tracklisting lists a song called "A Moment With Kathleen" that apparently features Julie Ruin's Kathleen Hanna. That tracklisting does not, however, include "New Feelings."

Gay Dog Food: Fem Slick:

2. A Moment With Kathleen
3. Lukas
4. Solange in the elevator
5. Fulani
6. Moshing In The Front
7. Cyber Dog
