It's not all protest music and burritos for My Morning Jacket's Jim James. The folk rocker and the rest of the band have now been named in a nasty lawsuit regarding a car accident in 2013.
As TMZ reports, Margarito Gonzalez has filed suit against My Morning Jacket and James, claiming that he was disfigured in a car accident involving the singer and the band.
Gonzalez says James was driving a Mazda 2 in Denver with other members of the group, and his alleged reckless behaviour behind the wheel (including following too closely) caused the accident.
Gonzalez claims that the accident caused disfigurement and greatly affected his quality of life.
He's suing James and My Morning Jacket for pain, suffering, personal disfigurement and damages.
