In case it wasn't already obvious, here at Exclaim!, we're all getting excited about the upcoming LP from My Morning Jacket. The group already promised that Circuital would be coming out sometime this spring, and that it would be shorter and more focused than 2008's rambling Evil Urges.
Today (March 28), the group finally gave us a firm date for us to look forward to: May 31, when the album will come via ATO Records.
This will be the band's fourth album for ATO and their sixth overall. We still don't know what the tracklist will be, but we can expect the band to release the LP's first single on April 12.
My Morning Jacket are leading up to the unveiling of the single by releasing a free live track every week through the T5 Countdown on their official website. So far, they've dropped "Butch Cassidy," "The Way That He Sings," "One Big Holiday" and "It Beats 4 U."
