My Morning Jacket Announce North American Tour in Support of Circuital

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 22, 2011

My Morning Jacket are currently in the process of rolling out a series of free downloads through their website, ending the campaign on April 12 with a track from the band's new album, Circuital. While we still don't know the exact release date for the LP, we do have a slew of tour dates to sink our teeth into.

The outing will stretch from June into July, and also includes a handful of one-off dates. It involves a number of festival appearances, along with the usual club gigs and theatre shows. Most of the dates are in the U.S., but there's also a performance at England's Latitude Festival, plus three Canadian shows: Vancouver on June 29, Toronto on July 11 and Montreal on July 12.

Fan ticket pre-sales start tomorrow (March 23). Go here to sign up. The tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday (March 26).

It's possible that Circuital will be in our hands by the time My Morning Jacket come to our country. The band previously indicated that the album would be out this spring. Go here to read up on the new record, which is reportedly shorter and more focused than 2008's shambolic Evil Urges.

Also be sure to sign up for the band's T5 Countdown to receive free downloads of live recordings, leading up to the first single from Circuital.
