Published Jan 27, 2013Last year, on Christmas Eve no less, legendary shoegaze group My Bloody Valentine announced that they'd completed recording and mastering their new album. While many remained skeptical that it'll actually come out, Kevin Shields has now suggested that it might drop this week.
Performing with the group in London on Sunday night (January 27), Shields took fans by surprise when he suggested that the album could be out "maybe in two or three days." The announcement is available in a video below.
The group also performed a new song, though a set list simply listed it as "Rough Song." Here's hoping they come up with a better title before the new album supposedly drops. You can also watch footage of that performance below.
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. Thanks to Consequence of Sound for the tip.
