My Bloody Valentine Announce Toronto Show, More U.S. Dates
It’s official: My Bloody Valentine are returning to Canadian soil. After multiple rumours, news tips and questionable reports, today the band announced they would be paying the U.S. an extended visit and visiting Toronto’s Ricoh Coliseum on September 25.

The handful of dates coincides with the shoegazers’ main stop in New York, where Kevin Shields, Bilinda Butcher, Debbie Googe and Colm O'Ciosoig will kick off their North American jaunt with the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival . Previously to this, My Bloody Valentine will reunite in the UK, Europe and Japan. Surprisingly enough, despite all the recent MBV news, the reformed lineup still hasn’t reappeared on the stage, leaving us in the dark as to whether all those whammy bar chops and Jaguar glides are still up to snuff.

The tour news follows several My Bloody Valentine activities this year, some set in stone, others not so much. To recap what’s happening thus far, we know My Bloody Valentine leader Kevin Shields will be releasing the Coral Sea collaboration with Patti Smith on July 11. The band are scheduled to release a Japanese-only 4-CD/DVD box set on June 25. My Bloody Valentine is looking at reissuing three different mixes of their two classic albums, Loveless and Isn’t Anything. And Shields and co. will be dropping the desperately sought-after follow-up to Loveless "this year.”

Those looking to buy tickets for the Toronto show here is your need to know info. Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 9) at noon (12:00 p.m. EST) through Ticketmaster and Rotate This for the very reasonable price of $47.50.
