In the seventh instalment of MUTEK's contemporary artist series Digitalis, the spotlight is shone on Real Cardinal's audio-visual project Comaduster.
Comaduster combines macro-videography with his musical influences, which he lists as "dark ambient, IDM and minimal techno." He was inspired to experiment with music and video partly through his day job as a video game sound designer and claims that there is something valuable to be taken away by everybody from his performances. There's a dramatic narrative to the sounds and images that anybody can follow along to, and the primary focus is to evoke emotions from the audience.
