Mustafa has returned with his first track of the year. "Imaan" arrives today via his new label home, Arts & Crafts.
The song follows last year's Exclaim! Staff Picks selection, "Name of God," both of which are the lone singles released since his critically acclaimed debut album, When Smoke Rises.
"'Imaan' is a love song between two people in search of God and purpose," Mustafa said of the track via press release. "It’s about longing for all that we don’t have evidence of. Two Muslims journeying through their love of borderless Western ideology and how it contradicts with the modesty & devotion in which they were raised."
