Published Apr 03, 2014Ontario music fans, take note: a new music festival is coming your way this summer. Muskoka Sound Music Festival will run from September 12 to 14 of this year in Huntsville, ON.
The lineup for the event hasn't yet been announced, but a press release promises a three-day outdoor event in Huntsville, which is the largest town in Ontario's lake-filled Muskoka region. There will be bands from across a variety of genres.
"Bringing top music artists to Muskoka in mid-September is a perfect fit," said Andy McLean, the event's executive director, in a statement. "Muskoka is already world famous for its nature-based attractions, and it's primed to add the cultural overlay of a rockin' music festival. The idea was a no-brainer and long overdue. Muskoka Sound is a festival whose time has come, and I'm thrilled to have received so much support from so many people to help get it off the ground."
There will be camping nearby, in addition to lots of resorts and B&Bs.
The lineup will be announced in the coming weeks, so check back to MuskokaSound.com for updates. Weekend passes and single day tickets will go on sale starting May 22.
