Music Waste is an institution in Vancouver, and the long-running festival will be celebrating its 20th birthday in 2014 with yet another bill stacked with local underground talent.

The festival runs from June 5 to 8 in various venues across Vancouver, and a newly unveiled poster confirms the full lineup. Performers include Jay Arner, Tough Age, B-Lines, Cool, Too High Crew, Crystal Swells, Fake Tears, War Baby, Koban, Village, Vincent Parker, Defektors, Woolworm, Inherent Vies, Bad Channels, Soft Serve, the Greater Wall, Cult Babies, NEEDS, Cave Girl, Love Cuts, Skinny Kids, Oles, Candela Farm, Mu, Lié, Joel RL Phelps and many more.

On Facebook, Music Waste has posted a photo series involving many of this year's bands. In keeping with the festival's 20th anniversary, the photos have a birthday party theme.

Passes are available now in local record stores Red Cat, Zulu, Neptoon and Audiopile. As always, they cost a very reasonable $15.

In addition to the main performers, there will also be independently run Go Your Own Waste shows affiliated with the festival. A tweet from Music Waste confirms that these will include a pizza party and a show at the beloved Mount Pleasant institution Kingsgate Mall.
