'Electrified Brain' out July 1 via Nuclear Blast

Virginia-based thrash metal stalwarts Municipal Waste have announced a new album, Electrified Brain, out July 1 via Nuclear Blast.

They have also released a new single, "Grave Dive." The track is business as usual, with all the tasty thrash riffage and gang vocals that MW fans have come to know, love and expect.

"It's in the vein of songs like 'Headbanger Face Rip' and 'Wave of Death,'" vocalist Tony Foresta said in an Instagram post, adding, "It's an inspirational song for our fans to cause bodily harm to themselves, but in a loud and healthy way, of course."

Foresta continued about the album as a whole:

We're not writing any love ballads to sell records. We're just doing what we've always done since the band started — and that's try[ing] to write loud, fast, and ripping [hardcore punk/metal]. We hope you walk away with some bloody ears, blown speakers, pissed off parents, black eyes, and a healthy distrust of authority.
