Mummer is the new project of vocalist Betty Semper and classically trained jazz musician, Stefan Jungmair, formerly of Klein act MUM (not to be confused with the Icelandic folktronica group Múm). Based in Vienna, this duo deliver 12 cuts ranging from syrupy, warm, down-tempo grooviness to crooner funk tracks such as "Baby Don’t Go.” As a whole, this album will most likely be classified in the down-tempo/electronica section at your local record store, but those subtle elements of inspirations drawn from ’70s funk, dub, and soul bring out "sultry” in full force.
