Mumford & Sons

"The Wolf" (video)

Arena-filling folk favourites Mumford & Sons are back with yet another preview from their upcoming Wilder Mind, this time dialling up the amps for the surprisingly radio rock-styled "The Wolf." You can hear the band tear it up in a new music video.

The foot-stomping acoustic arrangements of yore are here replaced by the bash of drums, the spiralling fuzz of electric guitars and various other atmospherics that could well have the song mistaken for something by Kings of Leon. Lyrically, we've got lines about love, self-reflective journeying, and some insight on the titular, blood-seeking lupine character, whether metaphorical or not.

If you've got a hunger for "The Wolf," you'll find the video, replete with mirror-image visions of a cityscape, down below.

As previously reported, Wilder Mind lands May 5 through Island Records
