MSTRKRFT Spill On New Album

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Jul 8, 2008

After taking a two-year between album break, Canuck dance duo MSTRKRFT have leaked word on their yet-to-be-titled second album. Via Dim Mak, the follow-up to 2006’s The Looks will hit October 7, and according to the group’s Jesse Keeler, it’s a record that’s apparently "very us.”

"The Looks was like a big experiment for us," Keeler recently told Billboard. "That's why we called it The Looks and not The Brains or The Talent. This next record is more like us wearing our influences on our sleeves, although I don't know if anyone will notice that but us.”

Keeler went on to say that the duo have already begun to test out the new material on stage, and told fans to expect heavy doses of it at future shows. "Kids hear stuff now and don't know what it is and they go crazy,” he said. "But when they know the [new] tracks and we play them, the crowd will explode."

The album is preceded by the new single "Bounce,” which was released back in April and features both NY MC N.O.R.E. and avant-metal heads Isis. The lead-up to album number two also comes with a few tour dates attached. Here they are:

7/9 Ibiza, Spain - Es Paradis
