Mozart's Sister

"Salty Tear" on Exclaim! TV

BY Branan RanjanathanPublished Apr 2, 2015

Electro-pop songwriter Caila Thompson-Hannant (aka Mozart's Sister) has been making waves since releasing her most recent LP, Being, last year via Asthmatic Kitty Records.

The Montreal native recently stopped by Toronto for this year's Wavelength Music Festival, and Exclaim! TV was there to capture her performance of "Salty Tear," a track taken from her aforementioned album.

Thompson-Hannant starts off her cheery tune by acknowledging the crowd and encouraging them to "make some babies tonight" (it was Family Day the following day in Ontario), before dropping the song's pulsing beat. Crooning overtop of the synth-y rhythms, Mozart's Sister dances around the stage as the tune builds to its lighthearted, upbeat chorus.

See (and hear) for yourself by watching the performance now in the player below.
