Summer is quickly becoming a distant memory, but new Montreal trio Moss Lime are harking back to sunnier days with their EP July First and its lead single "Ice Cream Sandwiches."
The song is a boppy indie pop tune sporting clear, crisp guitar leads and nursery-rhyme simple vocal melodies with lots of summery references and refrain of "I don't give a rat's ass." Hear it below.
July First was recorded with Peter Woodford at Montreal's Bottle Garden studio. It will come out through Fixture Records on November 4, with a hometown release show set to take place at Drones Club on October 29.
