Morrissey's '25: Live' DVD Gets October Release Date

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 12, 2013

Morrissey has cancelled heaps of live dates this year, but if you haven't been able to see him in person, here's the next best thing: his 25: Live concert film has got a firm in-store release date of October 22.

On that day, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release the live set on DVD, Blu-ray and digital video. It will be available to pre-order on September 27; the DVD will cost $14.98 and the Blu-ray is set at $19.98.

It was shot in high-definition at Los Angeles's Hollywood High School on March 2, and a press release calls the show his "most intimate gig in decades." The 1,800-seat auditorium apparently sold out in 12 seconds, and it occurred one day after a sold-out show at the far larger Staples Center.

See the tracklist below. As you can see, it preserves the running order of the original concert. The film includes tunes from Morrissey's solo catalogue, in addition to Smiths classics like "Still Ill," "Meat Is Murder" and "The Boy with the Thorn in His Side."
