Morrissey Sets August Release for '25:Live'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 23, 2013

Morrissey's health issues earlier this year had forced him into a temporary hiatus, but the UK singer is currently on the rebound, having recently announced some global dates and now confirming an August release for his previously announced concert film. A specific due date has yet to be revealed for the DVD, but it has been dubbed 25:Live and it arrives through Eagle-Vision.

The announcement came on fan-site True to You, along with what we presume is its finger-pointing cover-art. As previously reported, the concert in question was filmed last March in the auditorium of the Hollywood High School in Los Angeles. Though it's unclear if the concert will preserve the set list as is, you can see the song details from the gig down below. While the title refers to the 25th anniversary of Morrissey's solo career, the concert also include some hits from his career with the Smiths.

As for his upcoming concert schedule. Morrissey has a South American tour coming up in July and you can see the specifics of the trip over here.

Morrissey's last DVD was 2005's Who Put the M in Manchester? concert film, which was recorded at the Manchester Arena on 22 May 2004 on his 45th birthday.
