From his ridiculous rants to his erratic behaviour, it often feels like Morrissey is entirely unrelatable. But there are some things we all have in common with the beloved pop legend. For example, did you know that Moz is apparently a fan of noughties frosted-tip pop rockers Smash Mouth?
In a new interview with Stereogum, Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell opened up about a recent bill his band shared with Morrissey.
Harwell explained that they got to spend some time with Moz, saying, "Yeah! It was brief. But super weird and cool. He was great."
When asked if Morrissey was a fan of Smash Mouth's eclectic post-ska tunes, Harwell added, "Yeah, he was very complimentary toward us."
While we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, we're praying for a collaborative album from Smash Moz sometime soon. Hell, someone's already mashed up Smash Mouth with the Smiths. Listen below.
