Morrissey Details Lou Reed-covering Single, Adds Live B-sides
We already knew that Thanksgiving-hating indie icon Morrissey would be paying tribute to Lou Reed by covering the late Velvet Underground leader's classic solo track "Satellite of Love." Now, Moz has shared the details of that live single.

As promised, the digital version will arrive next week, with a 12-inch vinyl version and a 7-inch picture disc version following on January 28, a press release confirms. All version will feature that mannequin-sporting album art above.

The B-sides differ by format. All versions include "You're Going to Need Someone on Your Side" from Moz's 1992 solo album Your Arsenal, while next week's digital edition adds a live version of "Mama Lay Softly on the Riverbed" (which appeared on 2009's Year of Refusal).

The 12-inch includes live versions of "Vicar in a Tutu" by the Smiths and the 2008 Greatest Hits single "All You Need Is Me." The 7-inch picture disc features a live rendition of "You Say You Don't Love Me" by the Buzzcocks.

See the tracklists below. Note that almost all of the aforementioned live cuts come from a 2008 gig in London, UK's Hyde Park; the exception is "Satellite of Love," which was recorded in November 2011 at the Chelsea Ballroom in Las Vegas.

In other news, Morrissey will perform three songs in Oslo, Norway, on December 11 for the Nobel Peace Prize event.
