Published Nov 11, 2013Morrissey was among the many folks who posted tribute messages following Lou Reed's death, and now the former Smiths singer has announced plans to release a live cover one of Reed's best-known songs, "Satellite of Love."
Moz's version of the classic cut from 1972's Transformer dates back a couple of years. The performance he's releasing was recorded back in November 2011 at the Chelsea Ballroom in Las Vegas.
It will come out digitally on December 2 through Parlophone Records. This coincides with the release of Morrissey's Autobiography audiobook on December 5. A vinyl release will follow in January; it will arrive as a heavyweight 12-inch and as a 7-inch picture disc, along with extra live tracks.

This follows another recent live release from Morrissey, his 25:Live DVD.
