Published Mar 27, 2012Are you ready to have a dance party in your room? You might want to plug your computer into the stereo, since your shitty laptop speakers aren't going to cut it for Morgan Page's In the Air. This latest LP from the Los Angeles-based beatmaker comes out on April 3 through Nettwerk Records, and you can listen to the entire ablum now at Exclaim.ca.
An announcement from the label reports that Page began working on the collection in early 2010, finding the middle ground between booty-shaking house music and readily accessible pop. This cross-genre appeal is sure to rope in some Canadian indie rock fans, since Tegan and Sara appear on two tracks. The title track, featuring frequent Télépopmusik collaborator Angela McCluskey, has already topped the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart.
Page said in a statement, "This record exists between the club and pop worlds with a little bit of indie thrown in there as well. I wanted to try some new flavours and attitudes, while keeping my sound intact. At the end of the day, it's really about the song."
Speaking of songs, there are 14 of them here. Take a listen below.
