If the piles of unread books, unopened records and unbeaten videogames in your apartments aren't enough to get you through the social distancing required to keep COVID-19 from spreading too quickly, we've got some good news. You can finally get your synth project off the ground without dropping money on expensive hardware.
Moog and Korg — the monosyllabic icons of the synth world — have both announced that their respective synth apps are now free. That means you can get both the Minimoog Model D iOS app and Korg's iKaossilator iOS app without dropping a dime.
Korg explained that the decision was to help people who are "self-quarantining & working from home," while Moog said it's a "gift to spread positivity."
Both apps are now available. Let us know if you come up with any cool new music.
