Published Mar 17, 2010Having celebrated MUTEK's tenth anniversary with the 2009 edition, Montreal's "international festival of digital creativity and electronic music" is set to blow it out of the water in 2010.
This week, the festival announced the first wave of confirmed acts for the upcoming event, which will feature Matmos, Mouse on Mars, Tim Hecker, DJ Koze and Marsen Jules, among others.
"Kicking off our second decade as one of the premier showcases for cutting edge electronic music and digital creativity, what these first names have in common are their strong reputations for sidestepping trends and enthralling audiences with exceptional and engaging live performances," the MUTEK press release reads.
Other confirmed acts include Actress, Ben Frost, Brandt Brauer Frick, the Caretaker, Carl Michael Von Hausswolff, Dave Aju, Demdike Stare, Dixon, Hauntologists, Henrik Schwarz, Ikonika, Jacek Sienkiewicz, Jon Hopkins, King Midas Sound, Matias Aguayo presents Comeme, Minilogue, Moritz Von Oswald Trio, Nathan Fake, Nicolas Jaar, Paul Kalkbrenner, Pepe Bradock, Rebolledo, San Proper, Shed, Theo Parrish, Vladislav Delay and Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts.
