It's time to get your toque, scarf and winter jacket out of storage, since Igloofest is coming back to Montreal. The electronic music festival will be returning this January for its sixth instalment, and it promises to be bigger than ever.

Like last year, Igloofest will take place on the Quays of the Old Port of Montreal over nine separate days: three consecutive weekends, starting on January 12 and finishing on January 28. There will be two stages per night, with headliners performing at the Sapporo stage and a selection of emerging acts found at the Virgin Mobile Igloo.

The lineup offers a selection of local and international electronic music talent, with artists that include (deep breath): Tiefschwarz, Terence Fixmer, Green Velvet, Sébastien Léger, Tiga, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Maya Jane Coles, Tanner Ross, French Fries, Bambounou, Mala (DMZ) and Buraka Som Sistema. Check out the current lineup over at the festival website.

This event also promises larger dance floors than in past years, an interactive igloo village and a fashion contest for one-piece outfits. According to a press release, "Much like watching an eclipse, this fashion parade is best seen wearing a pair of polarized shades to help reduce the glare!"

Igloopasses for the entire event cost $60 plus tax and service charges, and are available now from Igloofest's online box office. They will be $70 at the door for the first weekend. Single night tickets cost $12 online (plus charges), $13 in stores or $15 at the door. Go here for more information.
