Here's the latest in the string of music festivals that will be coming to Montreal this summer: the Montreal Folk Festival on the Canal will be returning for five days from June 18 to June 22, and the organizers have now unveiled this year's lineup.

The shows take place in Le Sud-Ouest borough and are a mix of ticketed indoor gigs and free outdoor programming.

Among the artists playing ticketed indoor shows are Patty Griffin, Mark Berube and Eric Andersen. There's also a tribute to Tom Waits called "The Heart of Friday Night" that features Patrick Watson, Leif Vollebekk, Li'l Andy, Joe Grass and others.

As for the two free stages at Îlot Charlevoix (located at the corner of Rue Saint-Patrick and Rue Charlevoix), performers include the Besnard Lakes, Bry Webb, Jenn Grant, Mo Kenney, Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra, Forêt, Sarah MacDougall, Li'l Andy, Frank Fairfield, Eliza Gilkyson, Yves Lambert Trio and more. While the shows are free, fans can also purchase passes for the Le Kitchen Friend of the Festival Area.

See the schedule schedule of performers here. There will also be a Lhasa de Sela Youth Stage for young local musicians.

Tickets and passes will go on sale tomorrow (May 1) at the festival's website.
