Tel Aviv’s Monotonix set up in the centre of the room as if they were Lightning Bolt and the eager crowd slowly closed in on them. The guitarist and drummer both could be seen crowd surfing while playing their instruments, and at one point Shalev dumped a garbage can on his drummer’s head and began drumming on it. The rest of the time he abandoned any sort of vocal duties and climbed through the audience with this serious look on his face that said something like "don’t mess with me.” The most rock’n’roll part of this all is they play raunchy garage rock that isn’t good in the least.
