Mogwai Grab Tim Hecker, Justin Broadrick, Zombi for New Remix Album

Back in April, Scottish post-rock vets Mogwai announced their upcoming soundtrack work scoring Antony Crook's Hudson River Project, but the band still have a little gas left in them to promote last year's Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. A new remix album has just been announced, and it will feature tweaked-up Mogwai songs care of Tim Hecker, Justin Broadrick and more.

The Glaswegian group announced their A Wrenched Virile Lore album through their website, adding that it will also feature work from the Soft Moon, RM Hubbert, Robert Hamson, Zombi, Xander Harris, Umberto and Cyclob.

Neither a tracklisting nor a release date has popped up just yet, but Mogwai did post a version of "How to be a Werewolf," as interpreted by Xander Harris. You can download the cut for the price of an email in the widget down below.

The album will be offered through the group's Rock Action Records. However, it's still unclear whether Sub Pop will release the record here in North America.
