Mogwai

"Rano Pano"

As previously reported, Scottish post-rockers Mogwai will be releasing their Sub Pop debut Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will on February 15. To measure up with the disc's awesomely aggro title, "Rano Pano," the first track to be leaked from the set, kicks off with a burly-ass distorted bass line. The slow-building cut piles on a number of similarly textured six-strings to accompany the hypnotizing lick before tossing some airy effects into the mix.

Despite its dreamier sounds, though, the cut hits heavy all the way through courtesy of a military marching beat. Ultimately, the tune explodes into a ball of high-pitched feedback.

While "Rano Pano" is featured on the new full-length, the group will also issue the song on a seven-inch single with the exclusive cut "Hasenheide" on the flip. Sub Pop will issue the single on January 18, but for now, you can grab "Rano Pano" for the price of your email address in the widget below.

As if that weren't enough, Mogwai have also revealed the city-landscape-inspired artwork for Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will, which you can see above.
