Modest Mouse's Isaac Brock Contributes Music to Children's Cartoon

It's been nearly three years since Modest Mouse dropped their last proper album with We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, and other than last year's B-sides collection, little has come from the band in terms of new material. The rumours suggest that Modest Mouse will spend this year writing a new album, but that will now be split with some soundtrack work, as front-man Isaac Brock has been tapped to work on the kids cartoon The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.

As Pitchfork points out, creator Thurop Van Orman revealed that Brock would be contributing to an upcoming special episode of the show with the following statement:

Isaac Brock of MODEST MOUSE is collaborating with us for some music on an upcoming Flapjack Special. He is about the greatest guy around, and is doing some kickass music with us. And Flapjack is his favorite show! WOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Little else is known about the collaboration, or when the show will air, but one glimpse of the YouTube video below suggests that this is an ideal collaboration between two borderline creepy entities.
