It's been a long, eight-year wait but it's finally here — Modest Mouse have returned with their new album, Strangers to Ourselves. The release is out everywhere today (March 17), but if you'd like to try before you buy, you can stream it on Spotify.
As we put in our review, the 15-track LP may not quite live up to Modest Mouse in their early-2000s prime, but it's still "a bold, far-reaching and determined work that continues [Isaac] Brock's journey creating music both accessible and eccentric." The album hops between styles from track to track, and contains some of the band's strangest sounds yet.
