Modest Mouse

"The Best Room"

When it comes to Modest Mouse's new album Strangers to Ourselves, it's been a lot of good news for people who love bad news. Firstly, the album has been delayed to arrive two weeks later than initially planned. Plus, the drummer Jeremiah Green revealed that the album doesn't contain the previously announced Big Boi and Krist Novoselic collaborations. Fortunately, the album's still on the way, and the group have shared another new song.

"The Best Room" is a nice hybrid of Modest Mouse styles, pairing a lazy dance-pop beat with a breezy, confessional indie rock chorus about feeling tired all the time. The song's got plenty of dynamics, and could really fit into almost any era of Modest Mouse.

Listen to "The Best Room" below. Strangers to Ourselves will arrive on March 17 The same night, the band will perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
