Gloom-obsessed Vancouver post-punks Mode Moderne have a new EP called Strange Bruises heading our way on May 15 via Light Organ Records, and to get us a little more excited about the release, we've now got a video for the track "Nightly Youths."
The clip accompanying this jangly, '80s-tinged number is a charmingly homemade affair that combines stop-motion animation with cardboard cutouts, some raggedy animal dolls and lyrics written on pieces of paper. Big budget it most certainly isn't, but it makes for an unexpectedly light-hearted clip from the band.
