Published Jul 01, 2013Taking a break from sipping tea in his L.A. mansion, round-headed electro guru Moby has announced a new album, the first since his 2011 effort Destroyed.
The record is called Innocents, and sees our bespectacled hero collaborating with a wide range of vocalists. Canadian singer Cold Specks features in on two songs (the first of which, "A Case of Shame," can be streamed below). Elsewhere, the album features collaborations with Damien Jurado, Wayne Coyne, Skylar Grey, Inyang Bassey and Mark Lanegan.
"I spend most of my time alone in my studio, so for Innocents it seemed like a really nice idea to involve other people in the making of the record," Moby said in a press release. "Working with all of these collaborators has helped me to make a record that I'm very proud of, and working this way also gave me some semblance of a social life."
Innocents will be available on October 1 via Moby's own Little Idiot imprint.
